Drag & Drop images from internet not working with latest update ?

Hi, I’m on Windows 11. Apparently Dragging and dropping an image from a web browser stopped working with either the latest update of Photoshop or Camera Raw. I tested it with Firefox and Chrome. With Firefox, when you drag and drop an image, it doesn’t open in Photoshop but in the Camera Raw module, and with Chrome it doesn’t drop at all… Have someone experienced this issue ? I don’t think it happened in previous versions of photoshop.
For example, it tried it with this image, but the same problem occurs with every other image (apparently wep images) i found on internet https://www.lyoncapitale.fr/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/1_Affiche_jazzavienne_2022_portrait-min-2.jpg

Quite aside from all that, be aware that dragging and dropping from a web browser (and many other apps) doesn't give you the original image, but a cached proxy that may be lower resolution and with the color profile stripped. Better to right-click and "Save Image".

Hey, @jeromea13244388. Welcome to the Photoshop Community. I’ll clarify this for you.

This is due to the recent implementation of broader WebP Support in Camera Raw & Lightroom products. Here is the original Feature request for that.

The ability to skip using Camera Raw to handle WebP files is currently in development, and you can add your vote here:

    I hope this helps. Thanks!

@Sameer K Thanks for the info… More problematic, I notice that WebP also opens in Camera Raw when dragging & dropping in photoshop a WebP saved on the computer… To be honest, I don’t see the point in that, it slows down my workflow considerably.
