Question

Drawing pen makes a dot and stops working

I'm using a Huion Tablet that normally works well with other programs, though when I use Photoshop, I press down with the pen to draw but all that happens is a single dot is made where my cursor was, and then it stops doing anything. After I make that dotm, I move my mouse and it draws a line to my cursor and start drawing without me pressing any buttons.

I really have no clue why it's doing this.

Or did you mean that you can’t draw out the bezier handles?

Maybe posting a few screenshots could help illustrate the issue.

Sounds like the expected Pen Tool behaviour when »Rubber Band« is checked, might you be wanting to use the Freeform Pen Tool?

Hi there,

We are sorry about the experience with Photoshop while trying to use your Huion tablet.

Would you mind sharing the version of Photoshop you are using along with the operating system you are running on the computer? Have you tried to uninstall and re-install the drivers for your Huion tablet to check if that helps? If not, please try that and ensure that you have the latest drivers for the tablet installed on the computer.

You can also reset the preferences of Photoshop to check if that helps. You can check the steps here: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Please back up your actions, presets, brushes, etc. before you reset the preferences. You can check: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preset-migration.html

Regards,

Nikunj
