When i tried to edit a Illustrator Object wich i put in my PS composition i get the Error-Message that i need to install Illsutrator on my Mac (wich i obviously have). Restarting the Mac and PS didnt help.

Any ideas on how i can convince the programs to cooperate?
Also tried to edit the object out of my CC Librarys.

I use windows so it may be different on a Mac. If I have files on my desk top Image files like Jpeg or SVG if I double click on them the Application that is associated with the file type will be started and it will open the file I double clicked on. So if I double click on an SVG file  Chrome will open and display the svg file for I do not have AI installed SVG files are associated with my browser.  When you double click on  and illustrator file does AI start and open the Illustrator file.  Are Illustrator files associated with the current version of illustrator you have installed. Or are they associated with a version of Illustrator you no longer have installed.  If I open a SVG vector smart object in Photoshop Chrome displays the object.  The Application associated with .SVG.  Also on Windows if you un-install an old Adobe product File types that were associated to the product  are changed the be associated with and even older version of the product which has been un-installed.  I no longer use Adobe un-installers to remove a version of Photoshop.  They routinely mess up the Windows registry.
