Embed hyperlinks in Photoshop CS5?

Hi, folks.

I've seen this question pop up occasionally but I have yet to see a definitive answer: Can I embed links (hyperlinks) in images, text, etc. in Photoshop CS5?

I build eLetters in Photoshop and would like to embed links in various elements.

Upfront appreciation,

Can anyone here please help me? First time Dreamweaver user *shakes head* and first time attempting a HTML email *bangs head on desk*

My website is hosted on webs.com

I wanted to use my site on webs.com to host the email images; so I uploaded the whole image file into my website files. But when I link them in Dreamweaver the files appear broken.

Am I doing something wrong?? Should I host the image files here and will all email recipients will be able to receive the content of my email?

Desperately seeking answers! Thanks to anyone who can help!

Well, since you posted your question also on the DW forum, it's probably best you wait for proper answers from "the web guys". not that we couldn't naswer, but keeping track of many threads might become too confusing...

Every discussion I have seen here has been pretty definitive.

    No.

Links are created in HTML, not image files. You can slice up a web layout in Photoshop and export HTML with images. But the links will be saved in the HTML, not the images.

As you appear to be new to HTML mailing, try these links for some useful tips:
