EPS rendering strangely

I have an EPS file I created in Illustrator. When I open it in Photoshop at certain dimensions (enlarged from the original), some unusual elements are introduced.

 

Here you can see a thin yellow line that's not in the original:

 

And here you can see the "holes" in the foreground showing the background color behind.

 

I checked the original AI file in Illustrator, and no matter how much I enlarge it there, these unwanted elements don't show up--everything looks just fine.

 

Any thoughts on why this is happening and if there's a way to fix it? I wanted to send this file to a client, but I hesitate to do so if it's going to have strange problems at random sizes.

 

I'm using Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS5.

Photoshop does not Support vector files like Illustrator creates. If you open an Illustrator file like a .AI, .ESP, .SVG the will be imported ins Photoshop a s single raster pixel layer not vectors.  To me it look like Photoshop rendering of your ESP file is not perfect. Those file formats are not supported by Photoshop. Photoshop Supported File Formats 

 

Photoshop seems to have is own "Photoshop EPS" file format its own formats for other file types. A Photoshop PDF format, Photoshop RAW format not a Camers RAW format,  Photoshop PSD format etc.
