Hi guys,

I'm simply trying to use the eraser to take out a logo but it keeps defaulting to this...take a look in the image. How do I get the tool to work normally? Please help, thanks!

Hi

If your layer is a Background layer, it will erase to the Background Swatch. If it is a regular layer, it will delete to transparency.

  • We can't see your Layers panel that would show the type of layer
  • We can't see your Tools panel that would show your Background Swatch

The Eraser Tool erases the pixels leaving just the checkerboard background. You need to Brush Over the logo with the same color as what is around the logo. You use the Brush tool. Not the Eraser tool.
