Error Could not open because the file is not a valid Photoshop

This has been happening too often since the last update. It is very annoying and I´ve been loosing many hours of work. 

The files haven´t been renamed and the extensions are fine, same as originall. Files opened and edited in Ps exclusively. Any help on this?
