Error launching Photoshop 21.0.2 on Windows 10, build 1803

Every time I try and update to the latest version. My computer running Windows 10 Enterprise Version 1803 OS Build 17134.1130 locks up and will give me an error message and will not launch Photoshop. I then have to install the older version 21.0.1 and then Photoshop will launch and it lets me know that I have an update waiting to be installed.

Hi there,

In addition to the suggestion shared by Ged, you can try installing the latest updates for Windows 10 and then restart the computer prior to updating Photoshop to the latest version.

Let us know if you face the same issues after updating Windows and share a screenshot of the error message you are getting.

Regards,

Nikunj

I think it has to do with our IT department which I have contacted. It just seems that they are taking a while to get back to me. All other updates have worked in the past with no issues. I have had Illustrator and Photoshop update with no problems over the last year. This is the first time I ran into a snag. I have attached the error message I get, I did remove my company name and info from the message.

This error may be due to how Carbon Black or due to missing security patches that get installed with Windows updates on the computer. Please check with your IT team and get Photoshop.exe unblocked and also check with them to install the latest Windows updates.
