    1- Close all Photoshop activities (close Photoshop);

    2- Open your browser (I tried it only on a PC, so my browser is the Windows Explorer);

    3- Type %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Adobe;

    4- You will see some folders. Find and delete the TypeSupport folder.
    5- Now you can close the browser, open Photoshop and try typing in it. It worked for me.
    Obs.: It may happen that you do not see the TypeSupport folder and, then, you might have to reinstall Photoshop, but it's improbable.
    I hope it helps.

    Also having this same issue. Had the trial of Photoshop and worked with no issues. Bought it, installed it, no other fonts installed, brand new PC, and now can't type text.

    So glad I spent hundreds of dollars.

    Well, what is the specific error you are getting?

    And have you done any troubleshooting to remove corrupt fonts from your system (as noted above)?

    PV-photo,

    Have you installed any new fonts on your system recently? Through a little searching, a corrupt font seems to be the first warning light.

    Also, see this help document about troubleshooting font issues. You may find a solution in the steps listed!

    Cheers,

    Michael

    Hello Michael,

    No new fonts were installed... just installed CS6, that's all. When starting CS6 I also get an errormessage concerning ScCore.dll... maybe this has got something to do with it?
