ESC key on touch-bar not working in Photoshop 2020

Hello everyone. I'm using Photoshop 2020 on my 2018 MacBook Pro 15". I have an issue with the ESC key when rendering in Photoshop 2020. I'm rendering my 3D text and I'm trying to stop the rendering by hitting the ESC key as it says, and the ESC key on my touch bar isn't working, meaning I can't make it stop rendering at all. My ESC key is still working but isn't working in Photoshop. Is anyone having the same problem? Any help would be appreciated.

If you want to reassign another key to function as escape, follow these instructions. Because I rarely use CapsLock, I've assigned this as my escape key until I find a better solution.

Sorry for the late response, but I have already tried doing that, and still won't work. The same thing applies to Photoshop CC 2019.

Following. I'm also having this problem. It's driving me bonkers. Just started a few days ago. I use that escape key aLOT and it''s disappearance is adding many more steps to my workflow. Hopefully someone has the solution!

 

Note : I did reassign my option key to be "escape" (something I found in a macbookPro forum). However, I use option for other shortcuts, so I had to undo the assignment.
