Question

Everything just disappeared on me!

I did not exit Photoshop or delete anything, but everything after my last save is gone! I do not know what happened, but what I was working on disappeared. I remember something coming up at the top of the screen (right under reset windows to fit and etc) but if was so quick before everything went away. I do not think Photoshop crashed, because the program was still open. Photoshop was still open, just no files/works were open. I can open my last save, but that's way before so much work was done. I tried Open Recent but it was just my last save. Is there anything I can do or is all the work I did completely gone?

Hello, it sounds like you clicked on file>revert (F12), that reverts the file to the last save step. normally, you can immediately undo this in the history panel, but it seems that you did other steps since then...

Hi Paige,

Sorry to hear about lost work, however it seems strange that Photoshop did not crash and you lost the work. Could you please let us know the operating system you're using?

Is it possible that an operating system update restarted the computer?

You can check the Auto Recover folder and see if you find any files in there:

Windows: C:\Users\YourUserName\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Version)\AutoRecover
macOS: ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/Adobe Photoshop (Version)/AutoRecover

Let us know if this helps.
Regards,
Sahil
