Export As error - unresolved

Hi,

Im a highly experinced PS user - you will have to take my word for this I guess. Its with growing concern recently that I have watched photoshop go from bad to worse. It offfers lots of new features but the basic core of its functionality is failing. Amongst the most disapointing is the massive ever expanding memory usage which seems to get exponentially bigger for both the program and its resultant files. It is after all a bitmap image editor. Its bread and butter is resizing, cropping and generally editing images. I use a Mac, very new, that actually offers these feature for free, but hey call me an eternal optimist, I keep hoping PS will actually do its job when I'm not looking for an AI image of a clown riding a tiger.

When the artboard feature was added way back, I think everyone was appreciative of that, its all round useful. I now find myself using version 22 - from 2021 to access this feature reliably.  That is pretty shocking for software as expesive as the CS suite.

On using Export as the program displays the following screen, sorry its a screen shot - I cant crop and export it 😉

And yes - obviously I have tried the "Learn how to fix this" which ultimately ends very disapintingly in "install an earlier version" which is a badge of shame in my opinion. But dutifully I have rolled back to find that v22 is as far back as you have to go to get it working now.

Obviously I can get round this, which is not really the point. I dont want to be deleting layers just to get a particular artboard exported.

I have tried all of the measures, and nothing is working - is there a fix in the pipeline?
