"Export As" Issue

I am having an issue in Photoshop CC 2018, but have had it since 2017.

I crop an image, and then use the "export as" function to resize the image from, let's say 3000px to 800px. Photoshop saves the image with the correct file name, but the Image Size remains the same as before, 3000px. I would then have to re-save it 3-4 times before it actually becomes 800px.

This is an on and off issue I've been having, not sure if it's a bug or not... Any help would be appreciated.

Without actual system info and details about your file formats and settings nobody can tell you much. sounds like you don't have the "delete cropped pixels" option enabled and PS messes up the artboard size.

I checked, and my "delete cropped pixels" is turned on. It's weird that after I repeat the same export process 2-3 times, it works. And it's intermittent... I mainly work with jpg and png file formats.
