Question

Export layers to files with save for web compression in CC?

Hello guys, i need some help using the "Export layers to files" in CC. I need to modify the script, or create a new one to use the Save for Web compression for jpegs. For example if i export a 480x480 Jpeg using Save for Web it produces a file of around 30 kb. Using Export layers to files creates a file of about 40 mb.

I am usually working with PSD's with 500+ files and i have to export them as jpegs under 50 kb so i need the save for web compression.

I found a similar topic but it is rather old (2011) and the download links are all broken. Also it's for CS3 and i don't know if it would still work in CC.

Could anyone help with this?

Thank you

I do not develop for the web.  However, I believe that Adobe's Generate plug-in may be what you should use instead of export layers to files. I have never used generate and have it turned off in my preferences.  Still I believe its purpose in life is to generate your web assets. I could be wrong for I do not know how generate is used.
