Eyedropper tool choosing two colors

Hi,

I'm working on a project where I have around 9 different colors that I need to use.  So I like to keep them in my recent color menu, but I find myself getting frustrated.  When using the eyedropper tool, it's giving me two of the same color in my recent color history.  Is there a setting that I need to turn off?

I'm using Photoshop CC 2020
