Fail to Print to Canon Pro-2100 in Photoshop and Lightroom

This week, as I attempt to print to my Canon pro-2100 printer in Photoshop and Lightroom, I only get an error message: It says could not print to Canon .... In the printer's status dialogue it says 'Printer not responding'.

  This is in the aftermath of recent updates to Photoshop 23.0.2 and Lightroom 11.0.1 and the Windows 10's most recent feature update. I get the same error message in the earlier versions of PS that I have on my computer. I don't know if any of these update is causing the problem. There has been no recent update to the Canon's printer driver.

  In the Canon's own program I don't have any problem making a print. I am talking aobut the Canon's Professional Layout & Print.

I am wondering if anybody else experiencing similar print problem?  Thanks you.
