Features won't work when choosing to edit in Photoshop from Lightroom since the Photoshop CC 20.01 update.

Since the Photoshop CC 20.01 update, I have been unable to use features such as high pass filters, select, edit, really every feature across the top bar when I send an image from Lightroom to Photoshop. Is this a glitch in the program? I did not have this problem before the update.

this is a known problem.  while awaiting an update correcting the problem open both photoshop and lightroom, then export from ps to lr.

I have exactly the same problem - you cannot work on an image from Lightroom, all the tools and layers functions are greyed out.  Have had to go back to the previous version 19.1.7 for now.  Also when opening a recent image, you have to go through the Camera RAW window before you can see the image!  Let's hope this get sorted soon!

While there are some work arounds, such as opening the image again from the open recent list, it is too frustrating, hence the return to PS 2018 - so sad!

I found out that if I open Photoshop before Lightroom and then export to Photoshop, the features will work.

Yes, Jennifer, you are absolutely right!  Although it is a pain to have to remember to have PS open when "editing in PS" from LR, it does work OK, thank you.  So, I have gone back (should say forward I suppose) to version 20.0.1.
