File formats Photoshop

Hello Adobe Team,

 

i write here because the support told me to do.

 

I was creating an icon and as I had to save it but there is an really limited of possible file formats avaylable. Is there any possibility to enlarge this list?

Hi Marco,

What other formats are you looking for?

 

If you go to Preferences/File Handling - you can enable "Use Legacy Save As". That will expand the list when going to Save As.

 

If you mean that Photoshop does not support other formats like .ico etc. We can move your post to the "Ideas" forum for upvoting and enahancement considerations.

What format are you looking for?

 

By default, Save As will only show you file formats that fully support the content of the document. That means for example if you have layers, or additional channels, or work in 16 bits/channel then jpeg will not be in the list.

To see other formats choose Save a Copy - that way a copy will be saved with those layers flattened and can still Save As using a format that fully supports the content.
