File Info Memory Loss

I do my captioning and key wording in Bridge and file info and file into has lost the ability to remember previously typed phrases or letters when repeated.  I used to be able to type one letter of a key word and if I had typed it previously for another image, the old key word would appear.  Can anyone suggest how I can restore the metadata memory function in file into?  Thank you.
