file not found error

Question

When I pull any .jpg or .psd item into photoshop from my files, I get the message "Could not complete your request because the file was not found." I am able to pull these items into InDesign, and they show up and open when I pull it into Preview. Many of these, I just processed into my system last week

What have you done for trouble-shooting so far?

Restoring Preferences after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved might be a good starting point:
