Question

Fill screen when opening images

Is there any way to get photoshop to automatically fit images to the screen size when they open? Some of the images I'm working with show up in photoshop so small that it's nearly impossible to see what they are unless I enlarge the view manually, but, since I'm coming from GraphicConverter (Which allows me to set the image size to fit to screen by default when you open images), I would've assumed that Photoshop would have some kind of setting in the preferences for this.

I'm using macOS 12.7.5 with photoshop 25.9.1, and this is really annoying

Photoshop gives you powerful tools to do this, but it isn't "out of the box" or easy for new users.

1. Create an action using the "insert menu item command" for the view that you require, such as "fit on screen".

2. Set up the Script Events Manager to automatically run this action when an image is opened.
