Fixed: Photoshop 22.0 crash and freeze while using Neural filters

I have a decent processor (AMD Ryzen 5 2600X Six-Core Processor 3.60 GHz) and RAM (32 GB RAM) on my system even though the new Adobe Photoshop 2021 crashes every time I try to launch Neural Filters. Seems like a totally failed version of Photoshop.

We're happy to announce the release of Photoshop 22.0.1 that should resolve this issue.

To update Photoshop to 22.0.1, click "Update" in the Creative Cloud desktop app next to Photoshop.

This is not a driver or hardware problem. Even though I did try disabling the graphics processor, and updating my drivers.

Neural filters worked just fine for me when I was on Windows 1909, and they started crashing after I updated to 20H2, nothing else changed about my computer...

This neural filters crash is sitill not fixed in Photoshop 22.0.1

Yup, having the same problem.. I have a 10 core processor 8gb 5700 limited edition graphics card .. and i'm crashing when trying to use neaural filter. Was with support for hours and couldnt figure somthing out. I went as far as using the adboe cleaner on everytinhg.. reinstalled and still having the same issue. I really hope you guys are working on a patch.

I got the same problem with the Style Transfer filter and I solved it using your advice.

Just updated my NVIDIA P400.

Hello Akash,

after following your advice deactivating the performance settings for the graphics driver and restarting photoshop, I am still experiencing crashes:

if I hit the label with the neural filters, photoshop will crash repeatedly. I will try to reactivate the performance settings to see if the app stays stable if I do not touch the neural filters tab.

I am using an Nvidia P4000 with driver no 442.50. There are more recent drivers available but a more recent driver will cause issues with keyshot which I am also using.

Sorry that Photoshop 2021 is crashing while launching Neural filters.

Would you mind checking the below troubleshooting steps?

Go to Preferences > Performance and uncheck Use Graphics Processor and restart Photoshop.
If that helps, you can then update the GPU driver, reboot your computer, then re-enable Use Graphics Processor in the Performance Preferences, and restart Photoshop. See Troubleshoot Photoshop graphics processo r (GPU) and graphics driver issues

Photoshop 22.0 crashes when I open neural filters. It will open for a couple seconds and then shut down PS. Any ideas? Thanks

I installed PS 2021 yesterday. The neural filters worked fine - but today when I try to access them, I get the Loading message and the rotating arrow which continues until I eventually give up and try to shut down PS - which I then can't do unless I use task manager to end the task.
