Flip canvas Ram usage goes up, wont come down.

Hi
When I use flip canvas on my files the ram usage goes up with every iteration.
However, the ram usage won't go down afterward.

I need to restart Photoshop to reset the ram usage. (It is not enough to close the file I was ededting)

I have 16GB ram and I am using a clean install of win 10 and photoshop.

Adobe Photoshop Version: 20.0.1 20181029.r.41 2018/010/29: 1197484  x64

I had contact with Adobe customer service via chat, I gave them remote control but the problem persisted.

They said it was normal for the memory to go up and stay there for a while.
But I can simply not believe that I can only flip my canvas like 6 times and then have to wait for long durations before ram usage goes back to normal. (30min no change)

Hope someone can help me with this or knows how to reset the ram usage without the need of closing Photoshop completely.

Photoshop reuse resources it allocates often does not return allocated resources till you exit Photoshop.  If you are running low you can ask Photoshop to free up what it can using menu Edit>Purge>Option

Thanks JJ, its helpful info.  My wife had the same question since her Macbook Air is an older model with not a lot of RAM, so she was trying to keep RAM usage low.  And seeing this as she was asking me that,  made for a really helpful resource
