Floating Image turns grey when I make an adjustment on Photoshop 21.2

Question

Anytime I make any kind of adjustment to an image, the image will turn grey and I'll have to zoom it to get rid the grey. Any idea on how to stop this from happening?? I'm on mac with the lastest update but this has been happening for a while now.

Hi there,

Sorry that images turning grey when an adjustment is applied to the layers.

This is a known issue with Photoshop 2020 v21.2. See https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/kb/known-issues.html#LayerchangesdontupdatecorrectwithLegacyCompositingenabled

Would you mind opening the Preferences > Performance menu and uncheck Legacy Compositing ?
