Question

Freezing after Polygonal Lasso Tool

Hello!

Long story short, among other problems with photoshop (micro lags everywhere), for the last one-two months photoshop keeps completly freezing while using polygonal lasso tool. 1/5 uses results in complete freeze and non respoding PS. I'm not so long after formatting PC, all drivers are up to date, and recently with extreme lags I restored it in preferences on quit. It helped a bit with lags, but now freezing lasso is way more visible.

The polygonal lasso tool is malfunctioning in the last two updates to photoshop. Not storing selections when loop is closed, freezing up the software as well. Normal lasso functioning normally.

Does restoring the Preferences (see below) after making sure all customized presets like Actions, Patterns, Brushes etc. have been saved have an effect of the Lasso Tool’s behaviour?

Which Tools are affected by the lags?

When you state you "restored it in preferences", do you mean the Reset Tool or did you reset your Photoshop Preferences under the General tab in Photoshop Preferences?

I meant "Reset preferences on quit", it was suggested to me like a week ago, when I had problems with photoshop overall lagging on every action.

    Hi

You haven't provided any detailed information about your system specs, in Photoshop go to Help > System Info and copy and paste that into this thread
