Freezing and restarting

Question

Hello everyone,I am hoping someone can help me. I have had a problem for a couple years now and it is getting worse. Basically, When I am using photoshop cc (up to date as is my mac OS). It will literally just freeze for about 30 seconds and then the computer screen goes black and then it  just will restart. There is no crash message, or indication that something went wrong, simply lost work which is very frustrating. Someone suggested to me a while back that my external hard drive where I am saving my work might be too full or too slow, so I replaced it with an SSD drive and it still persists. I have my ram maxed out on my late 2015 iMac, all my software is up to date... I am at a total loss as to what could be causing this. I've cleared my preferences which may or may not help... Bad ram? I did not get my ram from Mac, but I have no issues using any other software... ever. Sometimes happens while I am editing, sometimes while I am saving...
