Generate Image: Photoshop

When I’m in the middle of working with the Generate Image feature, juggling many variations, and I want to use the current multi-variation state of the document as a new source—say, for composition—I duplicate the image, flatten it, and save it, then use it as the new source. This process would be much easier if there were a dedicated button for it. There are many other practical improvements that could be made to this wonderful Photoshop AI, especially in the field of AI-driven art generation.

Thanks for your attentions.

There are several points I’d like to suggest:

  1. Easier reuse of the current document state as a Composition or Style reference

Suppose I’m working on a project and have pressed the Generate button multiple times—let’s say 15 times for the sake of example. I’ve then converted the current state to layers, experimented with various adjustments (opacity changes, Blending Modes, Blend If settings, etc.), and now I want to use this current state as a Composition or Style reference.

If I haven’t saved the document yet—and perhaps I don’t want to save it at this moment—my current workflow is to duplicate the file, flatten it, and save it to the desktop so I can use it later as a reference. Having a single button to perform this action would make the process much faster and more efficient.

  2. Drag-and-drop for Composition or Style references

The current buttons for setting Composition or Style references feel cumbersome. It would be far more intuitive if I could simply drag and drop a file icon into the interface, and have it automatically replace the current reference.

  3. Preview and direct access to source files

When opening a document that contains special generative layers, the Style and Composition icons could display a tiny preview of the files they’re using. Even better: if we could click on those previews to reveal the current file name and open it directly, we could make small changes and then generate again without having to manually locate the file.

Are you part of theAdobe Team or as in my case a user? I would like these suggestions get to their attention.

regards

R

Havent you already used dedicated buttons for it? What other dedicated button you would need?
