Is this normal? I have had this issue on two different platforms, PC and Mac one year apart. Surely, this can't be just hapenning to me, but Adobe tech support acts like there's somethihg wrong with my computer. Thanks for any help.
Generative Fill often adds extra pixels to blend the generated part with its surroundings. It picks up on the whole image, especially if you're filling a large portion of it.
I really can't see that it has exceeded your selection by as much as a pixel. It has just blended the new content seamlessly with the unselected area.
Of course that looks artificial and weird, since there is no longer a horizon.
Which illustrates the whole problem with AI. It has no real "understanding" of image content. And you have absolutely no control over the outcome. That's not Photoshop; that's AI.
If you wanted a new sky, it would be easier to do with the traditional tools, not to mention easier to control. It shouldn't be difficult to make a good mask for the original sky.
Thanks for your response. I'm using the latest version. My main question here is whether or not this is a common feature of generative fill. Samples? I already provided samples.
