Question

Generative Fill - undesirable effect

Using photoshop's generative fill to generate backgrounds, you need to select the subject, invert the selection and type the text prompt.
Unfortunately, Photoshop handles the edge of the subject in an approximate way, causing an undesirable effect when the subject has sharp and precise contours like those of the renderings of electrical cabinets.
I partially solve the problem by duplicating the subject place it in the top layer and enlarging it - after the generative fill take effect - a little if necessary.
how do you do it?

You could try a similar approach by creating a second layer below the original, selecting it all, and using Generative Fill to make the background. Then you could use Select Subject and create a layer mask for the subject.

unfortunately the fill generated in this way seems to have less relevance to the subject.
