Question

Genuine CS6 license 'revoked' in one case, and 'not genuine license' in another case. How to fix.

I have two CS6 licenses. One is Design Std. CS6, another is CS6 Master Collection.

Both were installed on Win OS, and registered, activated on Adobe's site (are still seen on Adobe's site under 'Plans & products>Products, with the sr. numbers).

Problems faced :

1) One license worked fine till a few months ago, and has suddenly started saying 'Your lecense is not genuine'.

Any solution to fix this?

2) Another machine's HDD crashed, so I couldn't deactivate, uninstall CS6, and reinstall on the new HDD. (An ideal procedure for unistalling and reinstalling).

When I tried to install CS6 on new HDD on the same old machine (all other hardware, CPU, mother board, etc is the same, EXCEPT the new HDD.) a message popped up saying your license is revoked.

Any solution here?

Hi

Nobody here can help you with licencing issues, you'll need to contact Adobe Customer Care

Only Adobe can deactivate your CS6  that was Activated on the hard drive the crashed.  If you install a trial of Creative cloud  on a machine the has CS6 perpetual installed.  The creative cloud desktop application may  have made your CS6 perpetual install updated to CS6 version 13.1.2 the creative cloud  version of Photoshop CS6.  After the trial period without a subscription your CS6 version 13.1.2 would not have a valid licence.   On that machine you may be able  to uninstall All of Adobe application run Adobe Creative Cloud cleaners then re-install  Perpetuals CS6 and update it the version 13.0.6 Mac or 13.0.1.3 Windows your Activation credentials nay even still be on your disk.

Hi!

Thanks for your quick help.

The good side of PS I like-

Though I wished I shall upgrade to CC, but CS6 itself is such  a huge toolset, and my requirements are more than fullfilled by CS6. My 18+ years experienc of PS is extremely good, works on minimum memory, never hangs, crashes. Indeed wonderful! I can say this, as I tried other parallel products too, most need huge CPU power, takes longer to do the same job.

With my requirements fullfilled by CS6, I never tried, installed CC (any single application or a couple of them). So, my PC never knew that CS6 is now CC, and now preventing me from rolling back.

Where I am stuck?

1) My two CS6 licenses are on Adobe's website, under - products- registered products, with their sr. numbers.

2) They were bought from authorised India dealer,  registered on (Design Std.) Dec. 26, 2012, and another (master collection)  on Dec.18, 2013.

3) I have both boxed version intackt today, with sr. number, general intructions.

4)  When I got message of ' your copy is not legal' I communicated with Adobe support, and I was asked to produce purchase invoice, which I am unable to produce. (But I can provide comunication with the dealer, and can share their details, from which Adobe can verify the buyer (me) is genuine, the sale occured is perfectly valid and legal.

5) Another issue is about reinstalling CS 6, on a PC, where HDD crashed, I am unable to recover which version I had installed on it, and it's sr. number ( I should have pasted a small lable for this long back)

How this can be resolved.

6) On one machine, everythis works fine, but not Photoshop. it simply hangs, I am able to see the initial blue box, and it remains for long, and PS never opens. Is it possible to deactivate only PS, reintall and re-register only PS? End task says PS not responding. Any way to resove this?

7) Where do I find a software's sr. number, once it gets installed?

Thanks again!
