I have updated to latest windows update in windows 10 ,updated the raw plugin to latest, updated photoshop ,bridge and lightroom to the latest versions.  I get an error message (could not open because of a program error) in bridge and photoshop only.  Lightroom can see and process the raw files from D5 and sonyrx100 v6 .  spent hours trying to fix . uninstalled reinstalled all.  Need some help please.  photoshop wont open any raw file now since all the updates

Hi there,

Sorry that you're getting an error message "could not open because of a program error" while opening a raw image.

Could you try resetting Photoshop's preferences & see if it helps?

You may want to backup your settings beforehand:

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Akash

Have trid the above and still not working. I have updated the graphics driver to the latest my system is core(TM)i7-6820@2.7

48gb ram 64 bit system  GTX1070 8gb  graphics card.  (Laptop).  The weird thing is that camera raw  works on lightroom  but wont sync to photoshop. I even reverted back to  2015 photoshop and it opened my D5 raw but not the sony RX100 mk6.  I then tried to update the camera raw and it did the same , I could not process any raw files from any camera.  So thereis a problem with the camera raw syncing somewhere.  I have updated my computer again to 1903 update and graphics cardto the latest and all other possible updates.  I have noticed in the users /appdata/roaming/adobe there is still 2 photoshop files  PS2020 and CC 2015.5 same with bridge .  Could this be something that is blocking the raw from syncing. if so how would I  delete the cc2015.5 completely
