Glitching hotkeys in Photoshop with Cintiq 22

Hi, I have been running into an issue, that really slows down my work speed. 

Whenever I change the tool with a hotkey for example from colorpicker to brush with b, the cursor switches to the round circle (as expected) but once I draw my first stroke it jumps back to the colorpicker. This happens about every third time. It's not limited to the brush, it also happens when I switch between other tools. 

I haven't had this issue with Photoshop 2019. I would switch back but no older version than 2020 shows up in my creative cloud.
