glitchy white line appearing in PS

Similar issue though more extreme, brush tools turn in to large pixelated blocks that don't go away without hiding / re-revealing the layer - and the moment you use the tool it happens again.

Win11, Latest Nvidia drivers, i9 12900k, 128GB of DDR4 Ram.

No, I am not turning off the "Use Graphics Processor" because that's where half the gas comes from to support these huge files.

I'm on the recent version of Photoshop 2023 (24.7) and see this option.

Which version do you have installed?

Is your system up-to-date? Do you have installed all recent updates, patches and drivers for your operating system and hardware devices, especially your graphic card?

Maybe you can post your Photoshop system info. In Photoshop goto Help > System Info and hit the copy button. Then paste the entire informations into this thread.

I still need help:

No change.

2) Reset Preferences. I would like ot back up my preferences, first, but the instruction tell me to go to

macOS: Users/[user name]/Library/Preferences/Adobe Photoshop [version] Settings

and there is no "Library" folder at macOS: Users/[my user name folder]/

The only Library folder I find when I search is in the username "Shared," and it does not contain an "Adobe Photoshop" folder.

Please try to disable the option to "Use Graphics Procesor" from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

Another try is to enable the Older GPU Mode option in "Preferences" > "Technology Previews" > "Use Older GPU Mode (pre 2016)". Then goto "Preferences" > "Technology Previews" and enable "Disable Native Canvas". Restart Photoshop.
