Glyphs not working on first letter of text line

I'm working with a calligraphy font with alternate glyphs that I've been using for years without issue. Now all of a sudden, PS won't let me change the alternate glyphs for certain letters. Can anyone help with this?

Also, it seems to only be an issue with capital letters.
