gradients in Ps front to back

Hello,

If I recall correctly the default gradient used to be from front to back. Now it needs to be created new each time with each new color. Is there any way to set the gradient back to default to automatically use the selected front and back colors?

      Thank you. It was defaulting to neutral density and I had to create a new front to back gradient each time. I reset and it is back to normal. It began after one of the updates so I thought it was intentional.
