Greyed out Lighting filter

I have OS 10.11 2.9 ghz processor I7 8 gig memory 1600 Mhz DDR3 with Intel HD Graphics 4000 1536 MB

Image is in 8 bit and RGB. Problem is greyed out Lightning effects in Render. Can anyone help, pls?

    Have you tried Resetting Preferences?

    I don't know what version of Photoshop you are using, so hold down Cmd-Opt-Shift when starting Photoshop and delete the settings file and let Photoshop keep loading.

    I have a Macbook Pro that uses a HD4000 and Lighting Effects works on that card. My MacOS is 10.12.6

    I am having the same issue, but on a PC. Image is RGB 8 bit and the Use Graphics Processor is on.

    Thanks for supplying your System Information. It really does save a lot of guesswork.

    You are at 20.0.1 for Photoshop. Update to 20.0.2 Updates have bugfixes and that might be one.

    I suppose your Windows 10 is up to date.

    Your GL Driver is dated May 2018. Check for a more recent version.

    I'm not sure if you tried resetting Preferences, but here is how you do it.

    After you are sure you got the latest drivers, you want to be sure that your GTX is the dedicated card.

    In fact take all the steps in order. Hopefully you should have things fixed.

      In recent versions - Lighting effects uses the same engine as 3D. Do you have the 3D option or is that also greyed?

      Rather than ask many questions of your system and set up, can you go to Photoshop >Help > System info press the copy button and paste into this thread.

      Have you tried Resetting Preferences?

      I don't know what version of Photoshop you are using, so hold down Cmd-Opt-Shift when starting Photoshop and delete the settings file and let Photoshop keep loading.

      I have a Macbook Pro that uses a HD4000 and Lighting Effects works on that card. My MacOS is 10.12.6
