Question

grid for pixel art problem

Hello everyone

I have faced a very strange problem when setting up a grid for pixel art in Photoshop.

When setting up any grid with grid lines every number of pixels bigger than 2, I cannot color the lowest row and right end columns, when setting the pencil size to 1px and placing the cursor on the said row or column, it will just dill another pixel beside them.

I have no idea why this is happening, I've tried to set up the grid over and over as well as relaunching Photoshop but nothing happened.

THANKS in advance.

What zoom ratio are you viewing at?

How does it look when zoomed right in with Pixel Grid turned on?

Perhaps if you can post a screen capture of your Photoshop UI showing the Image the important palettes and the pencil tool active make sure to do a Ctrl+D deselect so there is not selection and no layer mask . Check the your have reset your tools the pencil mode is normal 100%  opacity. and a layer targeted you can modify. If everything look good try resetting you Photoshop preferences.   There are many reasons this could be happing but we can not see what you are actually doing.

this is it

the cursor was placed right above the red square, and when I clicked it appeared below my cursor.

this only happens in the bottom row and right end column of each tile.

You Tiles are 4px each and you should be able to paint in each one  clicking in the middle of the each pixel.  If you change the white background color zoomed in that much you should be able to see the single pixel grid.   I do not see any green pencil pixel by your red pixel in your image. Are you writting it does not show below your cursor like it should?  Not what you wrote that it did?
