Grids appearing in Pixel Gradients [Windows 10]

I have been using photoshop since CS3 on OSX.  I have a very good Windows 10 computer running on a 4k display.  Mid-zoom levels in photoshop display a disgusting grid effect in the gradients of pixels.

Does anyone know what is causing this or how to fix it?   It looks terrible and renders my Photoshop practically unusable on Windows 10.
