Had to restore Preferences and what a mess... Need help restoring my preferred work area, need help

1.) First of all, everything goes back to 'introductory mode' when I close Photoshop and re-open... how do I tell Photoshop to save the workspace the way I have set it up the next time it reopens?

2.) There are width and height and numbers with. red guidelines whenever I try to move anything,  I assume this can be turned off somehow? Where is the on/off for these 'helps?'

3.) Shift no longer constrains crop tool, but is backwards now, no shift and it is constrained to proportions, shift releases and now goes to any shape it wants, how do I get back 'shift key 'restrains proportions'?'

If I could just restore these three things to the way it was working, I had it set up, but because of program malfunction I needed to delete preferences to try to restore behavior... Which did not work and now I have this added mess to my problems.. It's just one of those days...

Thanks for help with this and I do appreciate,

Ken

I'm not 100% sure on all of your descriptions, so these answers may need fine-tuning...

1) Window > Workspace > New Workspace (to capture the setup once you have it as you like it)

2) Smart guides? View > Show > Smart Guides

3) Preferences > General > Use Legacy Free Transform or perhaps Crop Tool (gear/cog options icon in toolbar): use classic mode
