Hand Tool remains, requires I QUIT Photoshop?!

Hi guys, been using CC for over a year now with persistent problem last few months where the HAND TOOL stays onscreen.

This prevents any other tool being selected / used (except several).

Here's a link to LOOM on the issue: Loom - Quick Videos, Faster than Typing

Any wise words appreciated, I'm on DEADLINE! : |

Cheers, Zen Joseph

Correct answer @mj

A couple of possibilities:

  1. A sticky spacebar key. Try tapping it a few times to see if that is the case. Test with a different keyboard if you have a spare.
  2. Cursor Preferences. Preferences > Cursors. Change an option and then go back to the way you prefer them to be. Eg Standard to Precise and Back again.
  3. Try Mohit's suggestion above. More info here. Preferences in Photoshop

Hi ZenJoseph,

You may try and reset the Photoshop preferences and check if that helps, one thing I have noticed that you have customized your Photoshop and you have the panels & tools on a different locations. Once you reset the Photoshop preferences everything will be back to default settings.
