Hands on tutorial broken

The hands on 'Background lighting effect' tutorial by Lesa Snider is not working properly. Instructions are missing and confusing when trying to complete this tutorial. I am currently using the latest version of Photoshop on and Apple Silicon Mac with the Latest Version of Sonoma.

    Same with the Paul Trani hands on Photoshop Tutorial.  Useless.  Gets stuck after 2 instructions.   Doesn't work at all with the latest Photoshop.   Works only slightly better with a really old version.  And yet Photoshop keeps pushing this tutorial in their emails.  I wish I could just get a list of instructions and try it that way.  This has been a complete waste of time.  Thanks again Adobe - I have already downgraded my subscription and I"m so tempted to just dump the whole thing.  So little value for the money.

      This is also the same thing with the tutorial 'Draw doodles onto a photo' by the same person Lesa Snider. Photoshop please review your hands on tutorials and make sure they are all working and most importantly concise.
