Having problems with Real-time refinement

I'm new using photoshop, and I want to remove some hair of a picture but after "select and mask" im trying to select the "real-time refinement" but it doesn't let me selected, I don't kniow how to fix that and is very frustating specially because I need it for an assingmet and at this point I'm going to get a bad grade.

I appreciate if someone can helpe with that.

I had the same problem but i change quick selection tool to refine edge brush tool, then i uncheck real-time refinement. where the select menu press select and mask (and the Real-time Refinement) to uncheck it. I hope this help if you didn't know if you did.

Could you please post screenshots taken at View > 100% with the pertinent Panels (Toolbar, Properties, Options Bar, …) visible to clarify what the problem is?

One can edit a Layer Mask durther manually if the result of »Select and Mask« is not good enough.
