Having to rename a file to save in Photoshop 2021

Hi, is this happening to anyone else? To save changes made to an existing file I have to go in a rename the file, or add a 1 or anthing for it to save. Otherwise it comes up with a program error.

This is extreamly annoying when your working big artworks and constantly save to ensure you dont lose work.

Any idea's what the problem is?
