Healing brush and clone tool not working properly

When I try to heal or clone, a broad stripe is healed or cloned that doesn't correspond to the area healed or cloned

Another thing to check may be your keyboard. Since Shift causes painting of all kinds to happen in a straight line from your first click to your next, it's possible you have a stuck Shift key.

    Sorry for not responding sooner. I spoke to someone at Adobe on the phone that day who said it was a known issue and the issue was fixed the next day.

      Hi Jonathan,

      That shouldn't be happening, could you please let us know the version of Photoshop you're working with? You can check it by going to Help > System Info.

       

      Could you please try deselecting "Use Graphics Processor" located in Photoshop's Preferences > Performance, then relaunch Photoshop and let us know if it helps?
