Hello, how to copy layer from artboard to another artboard?

Hello, I have a problem when I need to copy something from one artboard to another one, I have been tried almost anything but nothing works for me... I usually use the shortcut alt+left mouse button... to copy an layer and drag and drop it to another place, but this seems not work with items on artboards...

    I'm on a Mac, however, OPT + left drag of a layer from one artboard to another works (OPT being the equivalent of ALT).

     

    You can also use Layer > Duplicate Layer (or right click) to dupe from one artboard to another.

    Thank you for you reply. It feels weird to me because it sometime works just fine and sometime it does not work, whatever I do.
