Help! ''Could not complete your request because the file was not found.'' jpeg & layers

I have a problem with opening jpeg and layers from other files in photoshop recently. Everytime I try to open a jpeg or layers from another work it throw this message: ''Could not complete your request because the file was not found.'' It does it with every jpeg but other type of files it's not a problem. Even weirder, if I drag and drop a jpeg image from chrome to photoshop it open perfectly. Strangely, it seems to coincide with the update of Camera Raw that I recently updated. I have this problem since, but I do not see how it could affect jpeg or layers. For the layers problem, I can drag/paste them with no problem but if I try to resize it throw the error.
