Help creating a poster with multiple action photos

Hi yall,

Im new to Photoshop. I am trying to put 5 of my daughters action dance photos with the word "Dance" behind it and make it on a 11X16 size but I am not sure how to do it. Any help would be great.

I saw on the demo video they had a girl they outlined her and made a black background and put a spiral around her. I am not sure what this is called but that is what i am trying to do cut out the body in the photo and put the word behind it.

    It's likely this process will involve masking.

    • Pixel based masks involve filling different areas with black or white and can achieved using a range of tools including those for painting and making selections.
    • Vector based masks involve creating paths which are used to show and hide content.

    Could you please post at least one photo so that we can give you some specific techniques to try.
