HELP - Creative Cloud

Ongoing issues for a couple of months.  I have an older iMac and just purchased a mac studio.  iMac has creative cloud installed, but will not update.  Lightroom and photoshop will not update.  Been there chat, agent remoted in and could not solve the problem.  Different errors show every time.  Adobe told me my computer was antique.  So I ordered a new iMac.  Fresh out of the box, no migration, creative cloud was unable to install.  Chat with adobe and they remoted in, changed all the settings, made different user profiles, tried in safe mode, etc, was never able to install adobe.  Even called Apple.  I returned said iMac and replaced with mac studio, more memory, ram, etc.  Fresh out of the box, no migration and not able to install creative cloud.  Spent 8+ hours with agents on chat who remote in, work on it for about 2 hours and then they ghost.  I've started several new chats, no agent has been able to resolve the issue.  Does anyone know how to install creative cloud and get lightroom and photoshop?  I am a photographer and am losing business daily because I cannot get any of the adobe programs to work.  If adobe can't solve it, I'm not sure where to go.  Maybe someone knows the trick?  Neither mac can open and run anything on creative cloud.  I've gotten errors 205, 1001, 117 just today.  It's been different in the past.  Don't know where to go from here.  Thanks.

@hkjrg

If it were me, I would try these:

  • To test your internet, set up your iPhone as a hot spot and use that on your Studio while installing CC.
  • Make an appointment with the Genius Bar and see if they can assist. Apple Care is included for new computers, although I always purchase more.

You can also try installing and using an older version of Photoshop on your iMac until this is resolved.

It's now been since May/June and I still get all the same errors.  Adobe will get on my computer remotely and try to fix and every single agent has vanished because they can't figure it out.  I've tried through hotspots, two completely different networks, still get constant errors.  My internet provider is also my cell phone provider.  Everything I have gone through with them doesn't help.  I'm at a loss to do and have spent a large amount of money on what Apple/Adobe said would fix the issue only to find that they are both wrong.  My internet works perfectly fine for everything else.  What setting would it be?  This is financially affecting my family because I'm not able to do my job now without these updates.  Photoshop won't even open.  Extremely frustrated.

Hi @hkjrg Where are you located?

This is the master white list of domains needed to access Adobe for installs and services. Send this to your provider or try accessing these urls from your browser while connected - see what happens.

hi @hkjrg all of those errors point to a firewall or net security policy blocking Adobe install packages.

Go through this list and make sure all are whitelisted and disable any anti-virus or network security when installing:

I went through all the firewall and security, even with Apple and Adobe, unfortunately it still doesn't work.

Hi @hkjrg Apple wouldn't be able to help with his. Check with your internet provider.

Hi

I'm not a Mac user, I use Windows, however see these links below for those three errors:

Error 205 issue

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/download-install/kb/fix-licensing-error-205.html

For error 1001

https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/creative-cloud/kb/installation-update-failure-macos.html

For error 117 (can't access internet) see here - you may need to start with this one:

https://helpx.adobe.com/download-install/kb/error-code-117.html

Hopefully a Mac user can add more to this

Dave
