Help moving Photoshop 8 from old macbook to a new one

I'm trying to help a friend move over to a newer macbook.  He has Photoshop 8.0 on the old one.  At the foot of the About screen his name and a 20digit number is displayed.  I believe software was originally purchased and installed correctly.

He has long since lost track of any installation media or licence paperwork/emails.

Thanks for any assistance.

Paul.

CS aka 8.0, (unless you mean Photoshop Elements 8  ) only ran on the old PPC Macs, OSX 10.5 and earlier. Anyway if you are talking about Elements, just buy an updated copy and install it.

Hi

Do you mean version 8 released in 2003, Adobe no longer provide links to downloads for CS3 and older, I even if you where able to get them I doubt very much that it would run on Mojave

Photoshop 8.0 (CS1) is long since reached end of life and is no longer supported. You will need the disk in order to even attempt an install as there are no online installers for CS1.

Between that and the fact that it will not run on newer equipment or OS you may be out of luck.
