Help! Photoshop display brightness constantly changing problem

I have a rather strange problem with Photoshop. Whenever I open it, the display brightness begins to step up in brightness every half-second or so and then step down in brightness and then up again and so on. It only happens when I start Photoshop, (Lightroom and all other programs are fine). I have clean reinstalled photoshop and graphic drivers without success. I do use a Spyder Elite, but have tried disabling that with no luck. The PC is a desktop and does not have adaptive brightness. The system is Windows 10 Pro, Photoshop 23.4.1 The graphics card is an NVIDIA GeForce GTX1060 6GB Can anyone offer any help please?  Adobe support has tried but has had to go away and think about it!

I've found the solution to the problem! There was a conflict with an overclocking app called MSI X-Boost. I uninstalled that and all seems to be well.

    Please try to disable the option to "Use Graphics Procesor" from Photoshop by going to Preferences, then Performance. Once done, quit & relaunch Photoshop to check if that helps.

     

    If you're unable to access Preferences and PhotoShop crashes before that, please go to the location C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop 2021. Then rename the Sniffer.exe to Old.Sniffer.exe and try launching Photohsop again.

    If the issue persists, you can try to reset the preferences of Photoshop using the steps described here:

    Please backup your settings before resetting the preferences. You can check:

    Migrate presets, actions, and settings (adobe.com)

     

    Another try it to turning on the option »Deactivate Native Canvas« (Photoshop > Preferences > Technology Previews) and restarting Photoshop.

    Is your system up-to-date? Check if there any patches and updates are available, especially for the graphic driver.
